Board of Directors

Board members are elected for a term of three years, and are eligible to be re-elected to a second term when the first term expires. No director may serve more than two consecutive three-year terms, but may be elected again after a lapse of at least one year from the expiration date of an earlier term. Officers serve a two-year term.

Purpose: It shall be the purpose of NCQSI to promote and perpetuate the art of quilting through regularly sponsored symposia throughout the state of North Carolina and to sponsor other projects designed to preserve, continue and advance this art form, at the discretion of the Board.

Directors: 21 volunteers from all parts of the state, serving a 3-year term with one-3-year renewable term if elected.

Meetings:

  • Fall meeting - typically held the first week-end in October
  • Spring Saturday - typically held the second half of March
  • Summer Symposium - typically held late May or early June
