Symposium 2004 - Raleigh, NC

If you think the first 25 years of NCQSI were great, you should have been part of the 26th annual event. "Southern Hospitality" was exactly what the Durham-Orange Quilters provided at Peace College May 20-23, 2004. Symposium 2004 was a great success:

Wonderful classes were filled with teachers such as Georgia Bonesteel, Pat Campbell, June Colburn, Sharyn Craig, Jane Hall, Barbara Vlack and many others. Special evening lectures by Pat Campbell, Priscilla Kibbee, and Linda Schmidt were well attended.

A bus trip to the Page-Walker Arts and History Center in Cary, North Carolina was also a hit.

A special attraction at the quilt show was a silent auction of small quilts entitled "Postcards from North Carolina." All proceeds from this auction will benefit Cornucopia Cancer Support Center in Chapel Hill, NC.

The quilt show was a great success with 131 entries.

It was truly a great symposium. The Durham-Orange Quilters did an outstanding job of extending to all in attendance true Southern Hospitality.
