"Bee in the Mountains"
The 2007 North Carolina Quilt Symposium was held on May 24-27, 2007 at Mars Hill College in Mars Hill. The show was sponsored by NCQSI and the Western North Carolina Quilters Guild.
There was a Block Party, quilt show with prizes for various sizes and techniques, five class/lecture sessions, evening sessions, vendor booths and a original raffle quilt with wildflowers of the Applachian Mountains.
Symposium lecturers and instructors for 2007 included Esterita Austin, Wendy Butler Berns, Georgia Bonesteel, Linda Cantrell, Pepper Cory, Mickey Depre, Susan Edmondson, Ellen Guerrant, Martine House, Melody Johnson, Mary Ellen Kranz, Debby Kratovil, Bonnie Lyn McCaffery, Sharon Richmond, Judy Simmons, Kristen Steiner, Dee Dee Triplett, Deb Tucker, Mary Lou Weidman, and Kimberly Wulfert.
